SEO that earns the answer, not just the ranking.
Honest, results-focused SEO for businesses that want to be found and chosen. We do the fundamentals properly, technical, content and authority, so you show up when people search Google and when they ask an AI, and you keep the growth you earn.
- AI Overviews
- ChatGPT
- Google Maps
- Perplexity
Ten blue links became a dozen places to be.
A single search no longer returns a tidy list of links. It fans out into organic results, the map pack, People Also Ask, an AI Overview, and increasingly a separate answer inside ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. AEO and GEO are the new letters for it, but it is the same job: be the thing that gets shown, cited and chosen.
- AEO
Answer Engine Optimisation
Being the sourced answer in AI Overviews and featured snippets. It comes from clear, question-led content, clean structure and the right schema, so a machine can lift your answer with confidence.
- GEO
Generative Engine Optimisation
Being the brand an LLM names and links to. That is earned the slow way: genuine authority, consistent information about who you are, and being referenced across the web the AI has read.
- The honest bit
It is still SEO
Do the fundamentals properly, crawlable, fast, authoritative and genuinely useful, and you show up in all of it. Anyone selling "AI SEO" as a separate magic product is selling you smoke.
Paid stops the day you stop paying. SEO keeps working.
Paid media rents attention: the traffic lands while the budget flows and vanishes the moment it stops. SEO builds an asset you own. It is slower to start, and we will always be straight about that, but the work compounds, month on month, long after it was done.
- Months 1–3
Foundations fixed
The technical blockers cleared so everything after can rank.
- Months 3–6
Content ranking
The pages that answer real queries start to land and climb.
- Months 6+
Authority compounding
Links and reputation stack up, and the curve keeps bending upward.
The honest trade: SEO is slower off the line than paid. That is exactly why the two work best together, and why we will tell you when paid should lead first.
How SEO actually works.
No smoke, no secrets. Rankings come from three things done properly and joined up. Get all three right and you earn your place on Google and in the AI answers alike.
- The foundation
Technical SEO
The plumbing that decides whether search engines can even read you: crawlability, speed and Core Web Vitals, indexation, site structure and schema. We build fast sites for a living, so this is home turf, and it is where we fix what is quietly holding you back.
- Technical audit
- Core Web Vitals
- Structured data
- Site architecture
- The substance
Content & relevance
The pages that actually answer the query, and get cited for it. Real keyword and intent research, on-page optimisation, and a content plan built around what your customers are searching for, not what an algorithm was doing last year.
- Keyword research
- On-page optimisation
- Content strategy
- Internal linking
- The amplifier
Authority
The reputation signals that make Google and the LLMs trust you: links you have earned, digital PR, consistent information about who you are, and the reviews and mentions that back it up. Earned, never spammed.
- Earned links
- Digital PR
- Entity & brand signals
- Reviews & citations
Skip the technical and nothing gets read. Skip the content and nothing ranks. Skip the authority and nothing sticks.

Audit & Research
An honest look at where you stand: a technical crawl, your current rankings and traffic, the competitor gap, and the keywords and questions your customers actually search. If SEO is not right for you yet, this is where we say so.

What clients say when they get found.
Anyone can promise rankings. Here is what working with us is actually like, in our clients' own words.
- via Clutch★★★★★
Their technical expertise, attention to detail, and focus on build quality stood out.
Adstract handled the full redevelopment and optimisation of our website with a focus on clean, efficient code and site speed. After launch, the majority of our target keywords now appear consistently in the top three positions on Google, driving stronger search presence and more qualified traffic. Communication was clear, proactive, and consistent throughout.
- via Clutch★★★★★
Their dedication, creativity, and professionalism have exceeded all our expectations.
They've supported us with branding, web design, web development, hosting, and graphic design, and the results have been incredible. Since launching our new website we've seen a huge increase in traffic and a significant rise in online donations. They generously donated their time, travelled over two hours to Sheffield to meet us in person, and feel like part of the As-Salaam family.
- via Clutch★★★★★
They are so hands on and really take the time to understand our business goals and needs to tailor the solution for us.
We approached Adstract for a bespoke e-commerce website and branding: they came up with the name and a fantastic, scalable logo, and built the whole site in WordPress for SEO and flexibility. They've gone above and beyond to find ways to automate our processes. The site is already generating revenue, brand authority is climbing month on month, and they care about generating actual results, not just ticking the task box.
- via Trustpilot★★★★★
Both the service and end product provided by Adstract are second to none!
We introduced them to a brief for full branding and a web page for our motor trade company. Without delay, they took our ideas and vastly improved upon them, and the end result was far beyond our initial expectations. The team are knowledgeable, transparent, flexible, and responsive. They had skills hard to find among competitors and went above and beyond throughout.
- via Clutch★★★★★
They're brilliant from a project management standpoint as we've always nurtured a good working relationship with them.
Our previous website was tired and weary. Adstract made the UX much more streamlined. We've seen a significant increase in submission forms and sales thanks to the fluidity of communication and process. They're highly responsive and easy to get hold of, whether by phone, email, or Zoom.
- via Clutch★★★★★
It was easy to relay information to them, and they understood our vision and what we wanted.
Complete new website design, faster and responsive across every device, optimised for Google ranking, with graphic design and animation throughout. Organic traffic has jumped better than ever and Search Console confirms the speed gains. Very knowledgeable about website design and security. Communication was great, and the team took initiative to advise on content.
Straight questions. Straight answers.
The practical stuff: timelines, cost, what AI search means for you and who owns what. If your question is not here, ask us directly and you will get the same straight answer.
How long does SEO take to work?
Longer than anyone selling a quick fix will admit, and worth the wait. The first few months are groundwork: fixing the technical base and publishing the pages that will rank. Most sites see meaningful movement within three to six months, and the real payoff is the compounding after that. It is slower off the line than paid ads, which is exactly why the two work well together, and we will always be straight with you about the timeline for your market.
How much does SEO cost?
It depends on where you are starting and how competitive your market is. Rather than sell a fixed package that fits no one, we audit your site, scope the work honestly and quote it plainly, with no invented minimums and no hidden extras. We would rather do fewer things properly than spread a small budget so thin it achieves nothing, and if SEO is not the right spend for you yet, we will tell you.
Can you guarantee I'll rank number one?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google's algorithm, so a guaranteed number-one ranking is either meaningless small print or an outright con. What we can promise is the work that reliably earns rankings done properly, an honest view of what is realistic in your market, and clear reporting so you can see exactly what your investment is doing.
What's the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO, and do I need 'AI SEO'?
They are new letters for the same job. SEO is being found in search. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is being the sourced answer in AI Overviews and snippets. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is being the brand an AI like ChatGPT names and cites. All three come from the same fundamentals: a fast, crawlable site, genuinely useful content and real authority. Do those properly and you show up across all of it. You do not need a separate 'AI SEO' product bolted on, and anyone selling one as magic is selling smoke.
Will AI Overviews and ChatGPT kill my search traffic?
They change it rather than kill it. AI answers do absorb some simple, informational clicks, so chasing thin traffic is a worse bet than ever. But those answers are built from sources, and being one of the cited sources puts your brand in front of people at the exact moment they are deciding. The businesses that win are the ones with the authority and clear, genuinely useful content that both Google and the AI models trust, which is precisely what we build.
Do you do local SEO and can you get me into the map pack?
Yes, local is a big part of what we do. That means optimising your Google Business Profile, building local landing pages for the areas you serve, earning the reviews and citations that build local trust, and targeting the 'near me' and town-level searches that actually bring customers through the door. We cannot promise a fixed map-pack position, but we can make you the strongest local candidate you can be.
Do you handle the technical side and fix the site itself?
Yes, and it is usually where we start. Because we design and build fast, clean websites in-house, technical SEO is home turf: site speed and Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation, structure and schema. If your current site is holding you back, we can fix it or, where it makes more sense, rebuild it properly, without losing the rankings you already have.
How do you report, and what will I actually see?
Plainly, and every month. You get a clear report drawn from real dashboards, Search Console, Google Analytics and rank tracking, showing what moved, what we changed and why, and the plan for the month ahead. We report on the things that matter to your business, rankings, traffic and enquiries, not vanity metrics dressed up to look busy, and you have live access to the data at any time.
Do I need to be near Blackburn to work with you?
No. We are based in Blackburn and work with clients across Lancashire, Manchester and the rest of the UK. Audits, strategy, technical work, content and reporting are all handled remotely, and we run local SEO for businesses wherever they trade, so where you are based is no barrier to working together.
