What is social media management?
It is running your social channels as an ongoing programme rather than a one-off. That means the strategy and content calendar, producing the posts, publishing them consistently, managing the community that replies and messages, and reporting on what it all achieved. Done properly it is a full-time discipline, which is exactly why most businesses hand it to a team that does it every day.
What does a social media manager actually do?
Plans what to post and when, creates or directs the content, writes the captions, schedules everything, and then handles the live side: replying to comments and messages, joining conversations, watching for trends and issues, and reporting on performance. With us it is not one person stretched thin but a team, so strategy, production and community are each handled by people who are good at them.
How much does social media management cost?
It depends on how many platforms you are on and how much content, especially video, you need produced each month. Rather than sell a fixed package that fits no one, we scope a programme to your goals and quote it plainly, with no hidden production fees bolted on later. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will recommend a sensible level and price.
Do you create the content, or do I have to send it to you?
We create it. Photo, video, graphics and copy are all produced in-house by the same team that handles branding and design, so it is on-brand and turned around quickly. You are welcome to send us things too, and for some businesses a mix works best, but you are not relying on your own phone footage to keep the feed alive.
Which platforms should my business be on?
Only the ones where your customers actually are. For a visual or local business that is usually Instagram and Facebook, often TikTok; for B2B it is LinkedIn; for retail and food, Pinterest and video earn their place. We would rather you did two channels brilliantly than five badly, and we will tell you honestly which ones are worth your time.
Should I outsource social media management or keep it in-house?
In-house works when you have the time, the skills and the equipment to produce good content consistently. Most businesses do not, and a hire who can strategise, shoot, edit, write and community-manage is rare and expensive. Outsourcing to an agency gives you that whole skill set, plus proper kit and a fresh outside view, usually for less than one salary.
Do you handle replying to comments and messages?
Yes. Community management is part of the service, not an add-on. We reply to comments and DMs, engage with the right accounts, keep an eye on your reputation, and pass genuine enquiries straight to you. It is the part that turns an audience into customers, and the part most cheap packages quietly leave out.
How quickly will I see results?
Consistency shows within the first month or two: a fuller, more professional feed and a warmer community. Real audience and enquiry growth is a compounding game that builds over months, not days. We report on it plainly from the start so you can see the direction of travel, and we use each month’s numbers to make the next month better.
Who owns the content and the accounts?
You do, always. The accounts are yours, in your name, and every photo, video and graphic we create is yours to keep. If we ever part ways, everything stays with you. We think that is the only honest way to work, and it keeps us earning the relationship rather than holding it hostage.
Do you work with businesses outside Blackburn?
Yes. We are based in Blackburn and work with clients across Lancashire, Manchester and the rest of the UK. Strategy, content planning, community management and reporting are all handled remotely, and for content production we arrange shoot days wherever they need to happen.
